Booking Your Stay

If you would like to book online, click the BOOK NOW tab on the right-hand side of the property profile. This opens a reservation form that places a temporary hold on the property. Once received, My Huatulco Vacation will apply a 48-hour courtesy hold, and a digital contract will be issued by email. Your booking is confirmed once payment has been received and a Booking Confirmation email is sent. If you prefer assistance, our Property Specialists are happy to help you choose the perfect property. Once selected, our team will enter the reservation on your behalf and issue a digital contract. You will receive a Booking Confirmation by email once payment has been processed.
An initial 30% deposit is charged to your credit card upon receipt of your signed digital contract, along with a $99 administration fee. The remaining 70% balance is due six weeks prior to occupancy and may be paid by Visa, Mastercard, or money wire. All bookings made within 60 days of arrival must be paid in full at the time of confirmation.
While My Huatulco Vacation does not sell or provide travel insurance, it is highly recommended. Travel insurance can help protect against unforeseen circumstances such as trip cancellation, interruption, or medical emergencies. If you book using Visa or Mastercard, you may also wish to check whether your credit card includes travel insurance coverage.
If you need to cancel, you may postpone your reservation up to 30 days prior to arrival and transfer the full value of your payment to new dates at the same property, subject to availability. No date-change fee applies. Payments are non-refundable once processed, except in the event that Huatulco is officially closed to tourism by government order during your reservation dates, in which case a full refund would be issued. If third-party travel insurance is not purchased, our standard cancellation policy applies.
Rates on ExploreHuatulco.com are displayed in U.S. dollars (USD) unless a Mexican peso (MXN) conversion is clearly noted. The applicable currency is always shown before you confirm your reservation. If you have questions about pricing or currency, our team is happy to assist before you book.
Some property owners have personal pets but do not allow renters to bring pets. As a result, a property listed as “no pets” does not always mean it is completely pet-free. If you have pet allergies or sensitivities, please contact our Property Specialists before booking so we can confirm the details for the specific property you are considering.
If a property allows pets, this will be clearly stated in the property profile. If the profile indicates that pets are not permitted, this policy must be respected. Restrictions may be due to owner allergies, property care considerations, neighbors, or building regulations. When pets are permitted, this typically means one pet maximum. If you plan to travel with more than one pet, please discuss this with our team in advance. If a pet is brought to a property where pets are not allowed, a mandatory $350 cleaning fee (USD or CAD equivalent, payable in Mexican pesos) will apply, and guests will be responsible for reimbursing the owner for any pet-related damage. Once your reservation is confirmed, you’ll receive clear contact details for every part of your stay — including our concierge team for transportation and tours, our local property management team for anything related to the property, and a general WhatsApp contact for all other questions. If you’re still planning your trip, you’re welcome to contact us via WhatsApp, phone, our website email form, or live chat — whichever feels most comfortable.
Check-in begins at 3:00 pm, and check-out is by 11:00 am. This allows our local team adequate time to prepare the property between stays. If you arrive early or depart later, you may inquire about early check-in or late check-out, which may be available for an additional cost and is subject to availability. Secure luggage storage is also available at our central office so you can continue enjoying Huatulco.
Most properties use digital entry systems. Prior to arrival, you’ll receive clear access instructions, including your unique entry code and detailed directions, from our guest services team. For the smoothest arrival, we recommend our airport transfer service. Our drivers are familiar with all property locations and remain in contact with our team should assistance be needed.
All properties include professional housekeeping before arrival and after departure. Mid-stay housekeeping varies by property — some include no additional service, while others may offer once, twice, or daily cleaning. Some homes also include on-site staff providing ongoing support. Housekeeping details are always clearly outlined in each property’s description.
Each property is thoughtfully equipped for a comfortable stay, including fully equipped kitchens, linens and bath towels, Wi-Fi, air conditioning and/or ceiling fans, and comfortable indoor and outdoor living spaces. Many properties also include beach towels, laundry facilities, televisions, and starter toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, and soap for your arrival. Amenities such as pools, ocean views, BBQs, or on-site staff vary by property and are clearly listed in each description.
Yes. All properties are equipped with either a water purification system or bottled drinking water, typically provided in large jugs with a dispenser, ensuring easy access to drinking water throughout your stay.
We understand that spending time with friends and family is often part of a vacation. If you anticipate hosting additional guests, please ensure the property’s maximum occupancy accommodates your full group. All overnight guests must be registered and count toward the property’s maximum occupancy. Maximum occupancy details are listed on each property profile. Services such as on-site staff, in-home chefs, spa services, and added housekeeping can be arranged for any property. Our concierge team is happy to help tailor services to your preferences. Yes. Cell phone service is available throughout Huatulco, with generally reliable coverage in town and surrounding areas. Service may vary in more remote or natural locations.
Huatulco is served by Huatulco International Airport (HUX), with direct seasonal flights from select cities in Canada and the United States, and year-round connections via Mexico City. The airport is modern, compact, and easy to navigate. Our team is happy to assist with airport transfers to ensure a smooth arrival.
Private airport transportation can be arranged directly to your destination. This service is available to all travelers, whether or not you are staying with My Huatulco Vacation, and can be coordinated for hotels, private residences, or vacation rentals. For My Huatulco Vacation guests, our drivers are familiar with all property locations and remain in contact with our concierge team to ensure seamless arrivals, even with flight delays.
Renting a car is optional. Many guests rely on taxis, private transportation, or tours, especially when relaxing locally. A rental car may be helpful if you plan to explore beaches and villages independently. Our team can help advise based on your plans.
Yes. Taxis are widely available at the airport, in town, near beaches, and at restaurants. Fares are typically fixed by zone and affordable. Most taxis accept cash, and small bills are helpful.
